Who is Eligible for Benefits?

  • Full-Time employee who works at least 30 hours per week on average.
  • Legally Married Spouse.
  • Domestic Partner (annual affidavit required).
  • Children up to the age of 26.
  • Dependent children of any age who are physically or mentally unable to care for themselves.
  • New hires have 30 days to enroll in benefits from their date of hire!

Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment in 2025, for benefits in 2026, will be October 20 – October 31st! Watch the Presentation here for more information.

This is your once-a-year opportunity to pick your plans or make changes to your existing coverage. The choices you make during Open Enrollment will become effective on January 1st of the benefits plan year and will remain in effect through December 31st of that plan year.

When you complete the open enrollment process, you can:

  • Change your current coverage, if needed.
  • Enroll in benefits for the first time, if newly hired or newly eligible for benefits.
  • Update your dependent information.

New Employees

Please visit our New Hire Welcome Page for enrollment instructions.

  • Benefits for newly hired employees and dependents will be effective in the company benefits program on the first of the month following your first 30 days.
  • Acquisitions will be effective on the first of the month following the date of acquisition.

New hires have 30 days to enroll in benefits from their date of hire!

Qualifying Life Event

What is a Qualifying Life Event?

Certain life events provide you a 30-day* window to elect benefits or change your covered dependents.

If you experience any of the scenarios below, you may be eligible to update your benefit elections mid-year:

  • Marriage, divorce, or legal separation
  • Birth or adoption of a child
  • Commencement or termination of adoption proceedings
  • Change in child’s dependent status
  • Death of a dependent
  • Loss or gain of other health coverage for you and/or dependents
  • Change in employment status
  • Change in Medicaid/Medicare eligibility for you or a dependent
  • Receipt of a Qualified Medical Child Support Order

Remember, dependent verification will be required.

*Some life events will provide an extended 60-day window to elect benefits. Please consult with Human Resources for more information about your individual situation.
